We Built the Program We Couldn’t Find for Our Own Kids

We both chose pediatrics and child psychiatry for the same reason: to help children feel empowered, resilient, emotionally healthy, and confident from the inside out.

From the very beginning, our mission felt clear.

We didn’t just want to help kids after they were already struggling.

We wanted to help build the emotional, mental, and physical foundations that could support them for life.

But we kept seeing a huge gap in what was available for children and families.

Kids were rarely being taught the foundations of resilience early enough:

Emotional awareness.
Stress regulation.
Confidence.
Healthy coping.
Self-trust.
Strength — mentally and physically.

Everywhere we looked, the focus seemed to be on repairing overwhelmed adults… instead of intentionally helping children build resilience from the beginning.

That realization changed everything for us.

We didn’t want our children learning resilience only after burnout, anxiety, emotional shutdown, or struggle forced them to.

We wanted them to develop those tools early — through movement, confidence, emotional awareness, connection, healthier coping, and everyday practice.

We searched for a framework that integrated all of it together for kids and families.

Nothing like it existed.

So we built it ourselves.

Why This Became So Personal For Me

As a mother, there were moments when I would think about the future and quietly cry.

I would think about healthcare. Burnout. Emotional exhaustion. How overwhelmed so many adults already feel.

Then my thoughts would go even deeper.

“What if one day my daughters experience postpartum depression… and don’t have the tools to navigate it?”

I didn’t want my children to have to suffer deeply first in order to finally learn resilience later.

I wanted them to build those tools now.

Through movement. Through confidence. Through healthier coping. Through emotional awareness. Through resilience built little by little over time.

Because while I hope I’m always there to wipe their tears… the truth is, one day I may not be.

And if I cannot always stand beside them physically… I want them to carry something within themselves that still protects them.
